A source told ESPN that Justyn Ross signed a contract with the Kansas City Chiefs as a free agent after being considered a first-round draft pick.
In his first two seasons at the school, Ross caught 112 passes for 1,865 yards and 17 touchdown, but he was diagnosed with a congenital fusion in his spine in the spring of 2020. He was told he might never play football again.
Ross missed the 2020 season due to surgery. He was limited all season due to a stress fracture in his foot. He caught 509 passes and scored three times.
The Miami Dolphins traded their leading wide receiver, Tyreek Hill, to the Kansas City Chiefs. They lost two of their top wideouts to free agency. Mecole Hardman is the only returning wide receiver.
The Kansas City Chiefs signed JuJu Smith-Schuster of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers' Marquez Valdes-Scantling in free agency. Skyy Moore was selected in the second round of the recent draft.
