The Kansas City Chiefs signed Justyn Ross as a free agent on Monday, according to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network.
The B/R NFL Scouting Department gave Ross a Round 2 grade.
The news came after the draft about health concerns. Ian Rapoport explained on Monday.
Rapoport said that Justyn Ross had a congenital fusion of his upper cervical spine and then a surgical fusion at a level below performed by Dr. David Okonkwo.
The risk was real because many teams took him off their draft boards. The talent is real. There are lands in Kansas.
The ex-Clemson star will get to work with a Super Bowl-winning quarterback in Patrick Mahomes, as he is now with the Chiefs.
The Kansas City depth chart may look different after the addition of Ross.

Ross finished second on the team in receiving yards and scored a touchdown.
Ross was forced off the field in 2020. Adam Rittenberg gave more information in an article.
In June, Ross underwent surgery for a congenital fusion in his spine.
He was thought to have suffered a shoulder injury during spring practice, but X-rays showed that two of his spine's bones were fused.
In an August 2021 article, Brad Senkiw provided a deeper dive into the injury and comeback of Ross.
It has been amazing to watch this young man's journey. He put the work in despite being thankful for the amazing doctors.
In the year 2021, Ross had 46 catches and 514 yards.
Ross is moving to Kansas City. The pressure is off Ross, as the Chiefs have reloaded at wide receiver after moving on from No. 1 wideout Tyreek Hill, who was traded to the Miami Dolphins and subsequently signed a $120 million contract.
Skyy Moore was added in the draft. Mecole Hardman and Josh Gordon are still in Kansas City.
The talented group has Ross as the Chiefs look for a return trip to the AFC Championship Game for the fifth straight year.
