Sony has revealed the prices for its Bravia 4K and 8K TVs, and it will be no surprise to hear that the cutting-edge models will command a premium. The Bravia XR Master A95K series will start at $3,000 for a 55 inch model, and go up to $4,000 for a 65 inch set. Pre-order the 4K screens in June. They aren't the most expensive TVs you can buy, but you are paying more for the larger QD-OLED color range, flexible stand setup and bundled video chat camera. Most of the TVs are more affordable. The X95K series starts at $2,800 for a 65-inch 4K panel and goes up to $5,500 for the 85-inch variant. They will be available to pre-order this summer. You have lower-priced options. The A90K will be available for pre-order in July at a price of $1,400 for a 42 inch display and $1,500 for a 48 inch display. The larger A80K will cost between $2,000 and $3,800, with most pre-orders beginning this month. The entry-level X90K will cost $1,400 for a 55 inch model and top out at $3,300 for 85 inches, with most pre-orders starting in May. 8K is still expensive at Sony. The Z9K costs $7,000 and the 85-inch costs $10,000. The A95K camera will be included in the mini-LED TVs when pre-orders open in the summer. Sony's sets will seem expensive compared to other models. Sony is betting that its image quality and design touches will make you spend more. It is one of the few high-end brands that bases its lineups on the likes of Android TV and Google TV. This may be your best bet if you don't like webOS or Tizen.
