How is Syneos Health helping customers speed up time to market for important therapies?

Syneos Health has a person named Larry Pickett.

Yes. Syneos Health works with pharma and health care customers to develop and bring new therapies to market while also engaging health care professionals to introduce new medicines to patients. We offer a full range of services. This is the only end-to-end capability in the marketplace.

Our approach to delivering these services is unique. New technology and advanced data analytics are embedded into our processes.

How do you do this?

Larry Pickett, Syneos Health

Yes, Todd. As part of our strategy to become a more data- and insights-driven company, we are transforming into a digitally enabled business environment with data and artificial intelligence at the center. The Dynamic Assembly network is what we call it. The network has two major elements: strategy on the front end and operational execution on the back end.

Partnering, buying, and building new capabilities are part of the strategy on the front end. Acquisitions such as StudyKIK and RxDataScience bring talent and technology platforms that we can leverage on behalf of our customers. There is a front end.

On the back end, we are able to accelerate delivery for our customers using standard data models, pre-built connectors, and automation, all running in the cloud on our Syneos Health data and technology integration platform. This allows us to automate our business processes. This innovative platform runs on top of any cloud provider but is designed for Microsoft's technology stack.

How does the assembly network help your customers?

Getting new therapies to market and to patients is important. We bring talent and expertise to our customers. Deep therapeutic knowledge, data scientists, solution engineers, and customized digitized solutions allow us to meet our customers' exact needs. The data and technology integration platform allows us to bring efficiency to our customers.

The way we work and the way we leverage capabilities on behalf of our customers are critical. The latest data and technology is brought to them in a plug-and-play model. We vet new innovations and bring the best to our customers. We use our technology platform to connect the data sources for our customers.

Our customers like having access to the latest tech and thinking while also having the flexibility to use the data and technology partners they prefer. This open architecture is different from forcing competitors onto a proprietary platform that locks them in and leaves them out of date due to rapid advances in the market.

Some examples of how the strategy helps patients.

Syneos Health has a person named Larry Pickett.

We use machine learning and data in many ways. As we go about delivering trials and bringing new products to market, it helps us to select and organize clinical trial sites, enroll patients, and maximize our resource allocation.

Making it easy for patients to enroll in a trial is important. We use clinical trial diversity analytic. Our data assets include real-world data, electronic medical records, demographic data, and our own internal data to identify underrepresented and disadvantaged patients.

Nurse practitioners bring clinical trials and medicines to patients through the acquisition of Illingworth Research Group. Sometimes patients can't travel due to their condition or the distance is too far. Decentralized clinical trials reduces patient burden while increasing diversity and access.

How do Syneos Health's in-house solutions and capabilities provide an innovation environment?

Syneos Health has a person named Larry Pickett.

The Intelligent Enterprise is a business transformation effort that is underway. The goal of the intelligent enterprise is to make data and insights available to employees and customers so they can make better decisions.

This is at all levels of the organization, such as project managers, field representatives, medical science liaisons, and managers and executives. The intelligent enterprise is a business architecture. Business infrastructure is at the bottom. It has commercial and clinical systems.

The next layer is called analytic enablement. The Dynamic Assembly platform fits here. We organize our data and make it available to the organization for analysis.

The models layer is where data scientists use data to build and deploy models. The models allow us to more effectively engage with patients and health care professionals.

The action layer is on the top. Employees and customers are provided with suggestions for the next best action based on the data. They can address any issues that may be occurring with their trial or project.

The suggestions are delivered by way of an intuitive dashboard. Our employees and customers use this data to quickly pivot and focus on areas that need attention to keep projects on track. The data, insights, and evidence we need to deliver outcomes-based contracts for our customers are given by using the Intelligent Enterprise end to end across the product development life cycle.

What other elements of your technology strategy are making a difference?

Syneos Health has a person named Larry Pickett.

The technology is cool, but so is our talent and culture. We have created a collaborative culture where top talent works together.

Our people architecture supports the intelligent enterprise. There are employees, new hires, acquisitions, and world-class partners.

We blend skills and opinions into a cohesive team. In order to instill a culture of innovation, we need to have rapid experimentation of new ideas, fail fast, and then succeed fast. We think of innovation culture when we think of out-of-the-box thinking where the best ideas win.

Our talent strategy is based on our DE&I efforts. We have an inclusive work environment, which impacts our employee recruiting and employee development, as well as promotions and succession planning. That is the right thing to do and it makes us stronger as a company.

When we come to work every day at Syneos Health, we think about how purpose fits. We come to work excited and motivated because we are helping patients. These patients are people in our communities. Our work is more meaningful because of this. Syneos Health is a great company to work for because of its culture, talent, and serving a greater good.
