Banned right-wing users are not receiving a warm welcome after Musk's $44 billion acquisition.

The CEO of MyPillow tried to make his triumphant return to social media over the weekend. Less than three hours later, he was banned.

After the January 6 attacks on the capitol, the "MyPillow Guy" got kicked off of the social networking site. Though it's not clear what pushed him over the edge, he had gone as far as to ask former President Donald Trump to keep Joe Biden out of the picture.

The platform is being acquired by a free speech enthusiast, so it was a good time for Lindell to return to it. On Sunday, he created a new account and posted a video to announce his return.

I'm back on TWITTER. I have a single account, called MikeJLindell. Please follow andRT to spread the word. The account was suspended for violating the company's ban evasion policy.

He told Insider that he had returned to the platform in response to a growing problem and that he thought his re-banning was a shame.

The other fake accounts have been using my name, so we started this account. Thanks a lot for your help.

Frank Social is a strange social media platform that is a right-wing echo chamber.

It certainly hasn't happened yet, if Musk's takeover ofTwitter is really leading to emboldening of a no-holds bar alt-right roll army like some have feared. Some controversial users are still testing the waters.

Roger Stone tried a similar tactic last week after his account was permanently suspended. Stone posted about the Musk takeover on his Telegram account.

Stone said that he was back on the social networking site.

Conservatives and right-wingers seem to think that Musk is the Messiah. According to Social Blade data, influential conservative accounts saw their followers increase by around ten times the rate they had before the deal was finalized.

Prominent liberal accounts saw a decrease in new users. The most followed account on the site lost more than 300,000 followers after news of Musk's deal. Mastodon saw an increase of more than 30,000 new users in a single day, thanks to all the defectors.
