Chicago-based United Airlines is making a bid to top Delta Airlines' offer to pay flight attendants during the boarding process.

The airline industry was shocked when Delta Airlines said it would start paying flight attendants during the boarding process. The tradition of not paying flight attendants during the boarding process has been going on for a long time.

In what is certainly the most difficult labor market in recent history airlines have struggled to find staff willing to work for free while also getting yelled at and even assaults by passengers. Delta Airlines, which has no FA union, is trying to fill desperately needed positions by paying flight attendants during the boarding process.

After gaslighting Delta, representatives from the United Airlines flight attendants union went to the United Airlines headquarters in Chicago with their own demands for fair compensation.

United Airlines quickly got to work on its own flight attendant compensation program. The new pay package will begin to compensate flight crew when they are at a hotel or crash pad. The minimum wage for flight attendants is not more than 1 hour and they have to shower, dress and prepare for work.

The crew will be paid minimum wage times 1.5 when they ride the shuttle to the airport. United Airlines will pay its flight attendants during the boarding process, however, instead of paying them financially, they will be paid in free United Airlines goodies such as hats, t-shirts, bag tags, and model airplanes.

The final requirement of the company was said to be a sticking point for company management who refused to pay flight attendants any sort of monetary compensation during the boarding process as a matter of principle.

The proposal was quickly accepted by the United Airlines union, which had long given up trying to get its flight attendants paid. The people who were familiar with the process were surprised they got nothing.

There is a rumor that is circulating in the airline that wants to reduce the compensation of flight attendants during times when they are seated. The flight attendants would be paid the current minimum wage for the portion of the country they are flying over during an emergency.
