Ventje is a car made for the work-from-anywhere types that benefit from the new hybrid and fully-remote workforce. The build quality is impressive and I have seen one in person.

Ventje uses a new or used VW Transporter van to convert the interior into a multi-purpose space that can be used for work, lounge, cook, eat, sleep, and play. The interior can be turned into outdoor seating when the weather is good. Lift the tailgate and you can use the indoor kitchen from the outside with the drawers that open both inwards and outwards.

There are two propane gas burners, a 26 liter electric fridge, and 10 liters of fresh water in the kitchen. Ventjes feature a diesel heating system to keep things nice and warm during the camping season.

Ventje vans can now legally transport up to five people with seat belts.

Ventje vans can now legally transport an entire family of five with two seat belts in the back, allowing them to fit into a normal parking spot. The road tax in Europe is more favorable than in the US, so the mini camper can be used as a daily driver.

The Ventje leisure battery charges off the motor and solar and provides enough power for “a long weekend.”

Each Ventje has a leisure battery that feeds 4xusb charging points, 1x 12V sockets, and 3x 230V European wall sockets. It has an optional 180W solar panel mounted to the roof and is charged off when driving. It will charge when plugging in at a campsite. Ventje says the 95Ah battery will last three or four days before needing a charge, and will allow for a long weekend off the grid.

Ventje vans can be configured to sleep up to four people. After folding the table and moving the cushions, the lounge converts into a bed that sleeps two. The pop-top creates an additional bed of 120 cm x 200 cm (48 x 80 inches) and lets you stand up inside.

Ventje interiors are just as useful outside.

Ventje gives the second-hand T5 or T6 and customers can purchase their van separately. The price includes taxes, the van, and the interior buildout. The Ventje is based on a new T6.1. Ventjes can only be purchased in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany, with more countries like the UK, Italy, and France likely to follow. In six to 12 months, orders will be delivered.

If you want to kick the tires first, you can rent a Ventje. I will be doing something this summer and you will get a review.
