On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for July delivery rose by Rs 96, or 0.26 percent, to Rs 37,188 per kg in a business turnover of 19,112 lots.

Similarly, the white metal for September delivery traded higher by 0.39 percent, or Rs 145, at Rs 37,600 per kg in a business turnover of 7,403 lots.

Market analysts attributed the rise in silver futures to fresh positions created by participants due to an uptick in demand at the spot market.
