Halsey Celebrates Her 25th Birthday With New ‘Clementine’ Music Video

Halsey rings in her 25th birthday like a true pop star, giving fans what they ultimately want: more music.

The alternative-pop artist released a visual for her next single, “Clementine,” where she is seen dancing in an aquarium alongside her brother, Sevian Frangipane.

Directed and choreographed by Dani Vitale, the simplistic nature of the video displays the sister-brother duo in a liberated state, truly evoking what it means to “dance like no one is watching.’

She came bearing gifts on her born day when she made the official birthday announcement on Twitter saying,

Exactly 25 years ago to this moment I was born. I wanted to celebrate today by sharing a new song called “clementine” and a cute lil video for it that i made with my brother Sevian. Enjoy :)”

“Clementine” is the third single from her upcoming album, Manic, which is expected to drop January 17, 2020. She previously released “Graveyard” and “Without Me” as the first two singles from the project.

Though she released “Nightmare,” it served as a standalone single, and opened up about how much the track meant to her on Twitter:

imagine getting onstage every night and seeing young women sweating mascara tears, lightning in their eyes, throwing elbows and raising fists, screaming till the veins in their necks raise under warm skin, and not being inspired by it. this song is about you, for you.”

The new music video comes nearly a week after the announcement of her Manic World Tour. The trek will kick off in Madrid this February and make stops in Amsterdam, Paris, London and conclude in Manchester this March.

Halsey’s 2017 album hopeless fountain kingdom hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and her 2015 debut studio album Badlands took home the No. 2 placement on the albums chart. She reached commercial fame when she served vocals on the Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit, “Closer” with The Chainsmokers and worked with the likes of Justin Bieber on “The Feeling.” Her first solo No. 1 song of her own was “Without Me” and it stayed atop for two weeks.
