Businesses and teachers can use the ability to record video calls from the Meet. If a student misses class, or if a coworker cannot make a meeting, they can revisit the recording after the fact. This particular feature is limited to specific editions of the company, which is highlighted in the article. If you have a standard, run-of-the-mill free account that isn't associated with an organization, you'll need to sign up for a plan to record meetings.
In this article, we show you how to record a video and share it.
1. Start or join a meeting.
You can only record using a computer. If you join the call on the app, you will be notified when the recording starts or stops, but you cannot control it.
2. Click the Activities icon on the bottom-right of the screen to record.
3. Click Start recording when you are ready to record your meeting.
4. Click Start in the pop-up window.
5. When you are done recording your meeting, click the Activities icon, then Recording, and then stop recording. Click on the pop-up window to stop recording.
1. Click the Share icon at the top-right of the screen if you want to share the file.
2. Enter the names or email addresses of the people you want to share the Google Meet recording with, then click Send.3. Click the Link icon at the top-right of the screen if you want to download the file.
4. You can paste the link into an email, chat, or text message.
There is a way to save the recordings from the Meet recordings folder in the meeting organizers' Google Drive. There are tips in this article about meeting recordings.
1. Click the link to open the email.
2. Click the More icon to share it.
3. Click Done if you want to share the recording with other people.
A quick tip is to send an email to the meeting organizers with the recording link if they are not the same person.
