The email address associated with your account is one of the things that can be changed.
Should you allow that option in your privacy settings, your email account will be used to log into Facebook and allow other users to locate you.
If you lose access to the email account associated with Facebook, you can use a different email address.
1. You can log into Facebook with your email address and password.
2. You can see a drop-down list of options by clicking the downward facing arrow in the upper right-hand corner of your screen. Click on the settings to make it private.
3. Clicking on the settings will show you more options.
Under your General account settings, you will see a section for contact information in which your primary email address is listed. Next to your email address, click on the Edit button.
5. You can input your new email address when you click on Add another email or mobile number.
6. Click on add if you want to enter your new email address.
7. You will be asked to re-enter your password to confirm the changes. Once you have completed this security step, Facebook will send you a verification email with a link that you must click on to prove that you own the email address.
There are 8. You can open the confirmation email to verify your new address. Your email address will be set as your primary contact by Facebook.
You can change this at any time by entering a new address or selecting your old one as your primary form of contact.

2. You can open a list of menu options by tapping on the stacked horizontal lines in the lower right hand corner of the screen.
The gear icon on the upper right corner of the screen has a privacy setting.
On the privacy screen, tap Personal and account information.
5. You can choose the contact info.
6. You will be able to see the phone numbers and email addresses that you linked to your Facebook account. Click on the email address you want to add.
7. On the next screen, you will have to enter your email and password. You will be sent a confirmation email once you tap on Add Email Address.
There are 8. You can open the confirmation email to verify your new address. Your email address will be set as your primary contact by Facebook.
