It is nice to have a following. It is important to make sure you have the right followers.
You have the option to remove followers from your account if you want to keep certain users from seeing your Tweets.
It was previously called "soft blocking", as you had to block and unblock a follower to remove them.
You can adjust privacy settings to approve new followers manually, and here is how to get it done.
When you remove a follower, they won't be notified. Depending on your settings, they may still be able to see your direct message. They will have to re- follow you if they want to see you on their timeline.

2. You can click on the Profile in the left sidebar.
3. You can choose your follower count.
4. Click the three dots to the right of the follower's name to locate them.
