The ninth generation of Pokémon is coming. The latest game in the PokE9;mon series was announced this morning. The Nintendo Switch games are expected to be released in late 2022.
The trailer is very dramatic.
The graphics look similar to the recently released (and very fun) game, but the footage may not show actual gameplay, so it's still up. The description of the trailer says "Welcome to the open world of Pok E9;mon, so maybe this game will take a nod from Arceus."
There are some familiar friends like Magnemite, Lucario, Hoppip, Drifloon, Combee, Meowth, Pikachu and others in the trailer, but the only new Pokémon we see are the generation nine starters, which have yet to be named Apparently, these new friends are: Sprigatito, a capricious, attention-seeking Grass Cat Pok, and Fuecoco, alaid-back Fire Croc.
There is a strange trio here. There is a cute little grass kitty, an apple-shaped, fire-type dinosaur, and a water Pok that looks like Donald.
There are some minor updates to the news that Pok E9;mon from the Alola region will now appear in Pok E9;mon Go.
You can find out on a replay of this morning's broadcast.
