Remembering Morgan Stevens Getty

Morgan Stevens passed away at his home on Wednesday. It has been learned.

A source close to Stevens says he hadn't been heard from in a few days, which is when a neighbor called authorities. The police have confirmed with us. Stevens was found dead in his kitchen. He most likely died of natural causes, and they suspect no foul play.

Morgan was best known for his work on the show "Fame", in which he played a teacher for two seasons. He was a recurring character on Melrose Place and A Year in the Life. He made guest appearances on a number of shows.

Stevens was a victim of police brutality when he was arrested for an alleged drunk driving. After 90 minutes of waiting in a jail cell, he refused to give back the shirt that was given, and two jailers beat him over two dozen times.

Stevens left jail with a number of injuries, including a broken nose, a fractured cheek, and a broken jaw. He settled his lawsuit out of court.

Morgan was 70 years old.

I am sad.
