Today, Apple is releasing both iPadOS 15.3 and iOS 15.3 for compatible devices. It is a fairly minor update, but it comes with a security fix to fix a nasty flaw in the browser. Security researchers revealed earlier this month that websites could exploit a flaw in Apple's Safari browser to access URLs visited recently by an iOS user and even obtain a Google user ID.
9to5Mac tested the new release candidate of theiOS 15.3 and found that it fixes the security problem. Unlike macOS, Apple's quick fix will be useful for iPadOS users, as they can switch to another browser to avoid the security flaw. Third-party browsers can use the same rendering engine as Apple's own.
There are no additional features or obvious fixes in the latest version of the software. Improvements for the iPhone 13 Pro's macro mode, a $4.99 voice-only plan for Apple Music, a Digital Legacy program, and Apple's App Privacy Report were included in the last update of the operating system.
