Nicki Minaj Might Have Announced Her Marriage to Kenneth Petty

Nicki Minaj may have just announced her marriage to her boyfriend of one year, Kenneth Petty. Yesterday, the rapper posted a cryptic video of "bride" and "groom" baseball caps and "Mr" and "Mrs" mugs. The video was accompanied by yesterday's date and the name Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty, the name she said she would take once she was married.

The news comes after Minaj announced in September she was retiring from music to start a family. In a recent interview, the rapper told the Shade Room that she was "madly in love with this man, he's also my best friend, the things that used to matter to me before, don't matter as much now. So yes, we're going to have a big wedding eventually."

According to Minaj and Petty applied for a marriage license back in July. As reported by Complex, the move was met with hostility from some of her fanbase because Petty is a registered sex offender, after being convicted of attempted rape when he was 16 years old.
