Scott Pilgrim Gets Ready to Rock Out as a Netflix Anime



Scott Pilgrim vs. the World was released a decade ago, and it was pretty good. It didn't do too well at the box office, but it's become a cult classic with a good soundtrack and a turning point for actors like Chris Evans and Brandon Routh. Good news for those fans, because it is officially becoming an animation.

Partnering with Universal, the anime is being developed for the streaming service. The series will be written and executive produced by O'Malley and Grabinski. The duo will be the show's showrunners if the series goes forward. Wright is credited with being an executive producer alongside O'Malley and Grabinski.

Science SARU is the production company that made Devilman Crybaby and Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken. The director of the promo episodes of OK K.O.!: Let's Be Heroes and the TO-B1 segment of Star Wars Visions will be a Spanish animator named Abel Gngora. The Akakiri short and the segment were both done by SARU.

Scott Pilgrim has been around for a decade thanks to a devoted fan base and a good video game. The movie was a visual feast with a lot of charm to it at the time that makes it a reliable weekend watch.
