1. You can use a mouse and keyboard on your iPad.

If you want to use your iPad as a replacement for a Mac at a desk, you can use a mouse and keyboard.

You can use the inputs from your keyboard, mouse, and trackpad on your iPad to use a different screen than the touch screen. It's as simple as opening up the app and starting the process of connecting, but we have some handy how tos that cover all the ins and outs of using a keyboard and mouse with an iPad.

2. The app library can be used to keep your home screen clean.

Do you own an iPad Home Screen that's cluttered with all manner of apps? The App Library is now available on the iPad, which means you have instant access to a well-organized list of all the apps on your iPad.

To get to it, just use your finger to move to the end of the Home Screen pages. App Library organizes your apps into categories.

You can either scroll through the categories or use the search feature to find all the apps listed there.

If you want to rearrange your Home Screen pages in bulk, you can just long press on an empty area of the Home Screen and then tap on the row of dots at the bottom of the display. You can rearrange Home Screen pages by dragging them to another location, or you can remove them by touching the checkmark.

3. Text can be dropped between apps.

If you want to move text from one app to another on the iPad, you can do it with a drag-and-drop gesture.

You can move text from one app to another by long pressing. To get the text you want, drag the bars.
Pull the highlighted text up from the page by pressing and holding.
If you want to move the text to another location, keep your finger on the text.
If you want the text to be pasted over, you need to release your finger.

In multitasking mode, drag-and-drop text gesture is the easiest to use.

4. Use a pencil.

The Apple Pencil is one of the best accessories that you can get for your iPad, and all of Apple's modern iPad support one of the two Apple Pencil models. It's worth considering if you didn't get an Apple Pencil with your iPad.

With an Apple Pencil, you can sketch and draw in drawing apps, note-taking apps, and more, but you can also navigate with the Apple Pencil and write in any text field on the iPad, with the iPad converting it into typed text.

You can open the Notes app and start writing with the pencil. The same goes for all of those things.

The model of the Apple Pencil you need depends on which iPad you have. To determine your iPad model, open the settings app, tap on "General" and then tap on "About." The model name is listed.

You can use the Today Center to get information from Apple's apps and third-party apps, which come with "widgets", which you can put on your Home Screen or view in the Today Center.

You can add a widget to your home screen.

To enter "Jiggle" mode, long press on an empty space on the Home Screen.
The "+" button can be found in the upper left hand corner of the display.

The iPad has access to the larger-sizedwidget that's not available on the iPhone. If you want to addwidgets to the Today View, you have to go to your first Home Screen page and then use your left or right hand to open the Today View interface.

To add a widget, long press on the display and then tap the "+" button. You can rearrange them by dragging and dropping them from Today View to your Home Screen.

6. Quick notes can be used.

The Quick Notes feature on the iPad is designed to be used without having to open the Notes app. Quick Notes can be used with or without an Apple Pencil, and the interface can be accessed at any time with a simple gesture.

You can use the Home Screen to make a diagonal gesture from the right hand corner of the screen.
You can do it in either portrait or landscape mode.
You can type your notes with the Apple Pencil.
If you want to hide it temporarily, collapse the Quick Note to the side and bring it back.
When you're done, tap "done" on the screen.

You can get to Quick Notes through the Control Center by either using the Globe key or the keyboard shortcut. If you have an Apple Pencil, you can use it to bring up a note on the locked iPad screen.

7. You can use your iPad as a second screen.

You can use your iPad as a second screen with Apple's Sidecar feature if you have a Mac.

Sidecar can be used to turn an iPad into a secondary Mac display.

Sidecar works with the following machines:

The MacBook Pro was introduced in 2016 or later.
The MacBook was introduced in 2016 or later.
The MacBook Air was introduced in the year 2018?
The iMac was introduced in late 2015.
The iMac Pro is a computer.
The Mac mini was introduced in the last year.
Mac Pro was introduced in 2019.

Your iPad needs to be running iPadOS 13 or later to work with the Apple Pencil. All iPad Pro models, the sixth-generation iPad or newer, and the third-generation iPad Air are included.

8. Extensions can be used to enhance the browser.

You can download extensions for turning all webpages to dark mode, avoiding AMP pages, and more, if you use the same extensions on the iPad as you do on your Mac.

To get the Extensions section in the App Store, you need to open up the settings app, scroll down to Safari, tap on Extensions, and then select More Extensions.

9. Text can be translated anywhere.

If you have an internet connection, you can select text anywhere on the iPad and get a translation as long as you have an internet connection.

Select the text that you want to translate and then drag the blue bars.
You can tap on the text.
The "Translate" option is on the bar that pops up.
There is a small window that will be used to translate the text.

You can translate content in the Notes app, or any other app where you can select text on the iPad. Live Text allows you to take a photo of text in a foreign language and translate it into your native language.

Arabic, Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish are some of the languages that can be translated.

10. Find anything with spotlights.

Spotlight is the best way to find anything if you don't already use it. To get to it, you have to use the Home Screen.

There will be a search bar in addition to the Siri Suggestions, which will offer up apps you might want to access based on your usage history. You can use it to search for everything. Spotlight can be used for a lot of things.

You have installed apps.
There are new apps in the App Store.
Search for an app and then drag it out of Spotlight to the Home Screen.
After a search, tap on "Get" to install apps.
Deleting apps can be done by long press and choose.
You can look for photos by date, person, or object.
There are facts about actors, actresses, and other people.
Information on people.
You can search for Web images.
The measurements are converted.
Currency conversion.

There is content in Notes, Messages, and other apps.
