Finnish Man Blows Up Tesla Car Instead of Replacing Battery

There are times in life when you have to make a choice between spending a lot of money or watching a big explosion. Tuomas Katainen definitely did. The owner of the Model S was told he would have to pay more than $22,500 to have the battery replaced. He decided to blow up his Model S with 66 pounds (30 kilograms) of explosives instead of spending the money on it.

After buying his Model S, Katainen said it ran "excellent" for the first 934 miles, but then the error codes started to appear. He sent his car to the repair shop, but was told they couldn't do anything for it. He would have to ask for permission to repair the battery, which would cost more than $22,500, and he would have to replace the entire battery.

$22,500 is a long way to buy a used Model S in Finland that sells for more than $42,900. There is a thin line between logic, rage, and insanity according to Katainen.

He said in the video that he was going to pick up the car. I am going to blow the whole car up.

The help of Pommijtkt was enlisted to carry out his master plan. It seems appropriate since Pommijtkt likes to make things explode.
