The Annual Charity Day was hosted by BGC andGFI in New York City and was attended by Chris Cuomo.

Chris Cuomo was fired by CNN on Saturday after new information came to light about how he helped his brother and former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo respond to sexual harassment allegations.

Despite Cuomo's firing, the news network retained a law firm and will proceed with its investigation. CNN didn't give any further details on what it found during its review.

Cuomo said he was disappointed in CNN.

Cuomo, who has been an anchor at CNN for almost a decade was initially put on an indefinite suspension after the New York state Attorney General released documents showing that the TV personality had a much larger role advising Andrew Cuomo's aides than previously known.

Chris Cuomo told investigators that he talked to sources in the media to find out if his brother was involved in a sex crime.

Cuomo was terminated by the news network after Charlotte Bennett called for him to be fired.

The former governor denied any wrongdoing. He resigned in August after the Attorney General released a report that included accusations against Andrew Cuomo from a number of women.

Chris Cuomo's nightly show, "Cuomo Prime Time," was relatively strong, but recently it fell to a low point.

The Wrap reported a week after the ratings announcement that Cuomo's program had hit an all-time low in the ratings.

CNBC's Spencer Kimball contributed to the report.
