How to use your iPhone as a magnifying glass

Our phones have replaced many other tools and gadgets, including our cameras, calculator, torches, notepads, and even our compasses. A magnifying glass can be replaced with your iPhone.

We're looking at the Magnifier app, a free tool that allows you to use your phone's camera to make magnified pictures.
The Magnifier app is for the phone.

You can turn your iPad or iPhone into a magnifying glass with Magnifier. The built-in camera on your phone allows Magnifier to enlarge objects or text so you can see them better.

The app allows you to increase the zoom level and use the flashlight to better display objects and text. You can apply filters to the image. There is an option to freeze a frame to review it.
You need to set up the Magnifier app on your phone.

You can access the Magnifier app via the "Control Center" on your phone. You can see the shortcut screen when you use the top right hand side of the screen.
If you want to add Magnifier to your Control Center, you have to open your phone's settings app. You can tap this.

You can add more controls at the bottom of the screen or at the top of the screen in the next screen. The green plus sign icon is beside the Magnifier option.

Magnifier will be in your control center options.

You can reorder your Control Center shortcut icons by going back into settings, then Control Center, and then tapping on the three lines next to each tool. To rearrange, drag and drop.
The Magnifier app is available for the iPhone.
If you want to use Magnifier whenever you want, you have to use the Magnifier shortcut icon on the right side of your screen.
You'll see your live view window at the top of the screen when you launch the app.
The controls of the Magnifier are similar.

The zoom level can be adjusted by dragging the zoom control sliders left or right.

To switch to the front or back camera, tap the camera button with the arrows.

The sun-shaped brightness button can be adjusted.

The two-tone circle contrast button should be adjusted.

You can apply color filters by using the button.

Turn on your flashlight by pressing the button.

The large central freeze-frame button can be used to save a magnified object as an image. You can share this via the share icon at the top right of your screen.
How to change the controls of your Magnifier app.

The default setup of the Magnifier's controls is adequate for most iPhone owners, but it is possible to change how they appear on your screen. The Magnifier app has an icon at the bottom left of the screen that you can use to do this.

You can change the order of the controls in the next screen by using the three lines icons. Two options can be set as primary controls.
