NBA: LeBron James and Isaiah Stewart ejected as Los Angeles Lakers beat Detroit Pistons

The team-mates and coaching staff held back a bloodied Stewart.

The Los Angeles Lakers came back from 17 points down to beat the Detroit Pistons.

James appeared to hit Stewart in the face with a rebound, leaving him with a large cut near his right eye.

Stewart had to be held back by his teammates and the coaching staff as he tried to retaliate.

The two were ejected from the game.

Anthony Davis said that everyone in the league knows that James is not a dirty guy. He looked back at him when he hit him. I didn't try to do it.

The first time James was thrown out of an NBA game was in the third quarter.

Pistons coach DwaneCasey said that it was a tough play. He was upset because his eye got cracked all the way open. I don't think James is a dirty player, but it got them going.

The Lakers came back from 17 points down in the second half, thanks to Davis and Russell Westbrook.

The Los Angeles Clippers beat the Dallas Mavericks 97-91, while the Phoenix Suns beat the Denver Nuggets 126-97 for their 12th consecutive win.

The Chicago Bulls beat the New York Knicks by a single point, while the Golden State Warriors beat the Toronto Raptors by a single point.
