Previously, the real-time lyrics feature was only available in a limited number of countries.
The lyrics are provided by Musixmatch, which claims to offer lyrics for over 8 million titles. This also includes desktop computers, gaming consoles, and smart TVs. Both free and premium stations have the feature.
You can use the lyrics to sing along with yourself and share them on social media. The feature will be available across the majority of the music library.
As per the instructions on the website, you can access the lyrics and share them.

While listening, move your finger up and down from the bottom of the screen.

There is a complicated history with lyrics. It worked with Musixmatch to display song lyrics until it parted ways with the company. Thanks to a partnership with Genius, it has now offered a "Behind the Lyrics" feature. Background information on songs is interesting, but it is not useful for karaoke sessions. The feature hasn't received a widespread launch in western markets like the US.
The new lyrics feature is the reason why the behind the lyrics feature is being discontinued.
