Minnesota Golden Gophers extend football coach P.J. Fleck through 2028 season

P.J. Fleck, Minnesota coach It was announced Wednesday that Fleck had agreed to a seven-year contract, which will keep him with Golden Gophers until 2028.
The board of regents must approve the agreement between Fleck and the university, which is now eight games into Fleck's fifth season as the Gophers head coach.

It is a commitment to our elite team and the entire state.

Fleck, who joined Minnesota in January 2017, is currently ranked sixth among all Gophers in wins (32). Fleck led Minnesota to an 11-win 2019 season and eight of his players were selected in the NFL Draft.
