You may have noticed a menu for your carrier settings on your iPhone, or a pop-up asking you to update them.

Carrier settings are basically packets of information about your iPhone and the network that you use to ensure connectivity and performance. It is vital to keep your iPhone's data current in order to make it work optimally. Check your carrier settings to verify that they are correct.

You'll be prompted to change your carrier settings when these updates become available.

This can be done manually if you insert a SIM card to your iPhone. It's easy though. Here are the steps.

How to manually change the carrier settings of an iPhone

1. Verify that your iPhone is connected with a Wi Fi or cellular network.

2. 2.Open the Settings app on your phone, tap General, then tap About.

3. Scroll down to Carrier. If a new update is available for your carrier, you will see an option to download it. If you don't have the option to update, you will be presented with the current settings and version number of your carrier. You can access additional information by tapping on the version number.
