5 features that will make you want to download iOS 15 now

Apple officially released iOS 15 to all users on Monday.
Apple announced the latest software update in June during its WWDC event. It was previously only available in beta. Anyone with an iPhone 6S and newer can now download the complete iOS 15.

Go to Settings > General > Software update to download the app. These are some of our top iOS 15 features.

1. 1.

FaceTiming will allow you to see the person you are FaceTiming with in a smaller frame, while your shared screen will be at the center. Credit: Screenshot: apple

It's now easier to share your screen. Sharing your screen with others via FaceTime is possible through SharePlay. It works with Apple's native apps like Apple Music and Apple TV. Some third-party partners like TikTok and Disney Plus, Paramount Plus and Twitch are also compatible. We are sad to see YouTube and Netflix not included in the compatible apps list.

2. Background Sounds

These are the options for background sounds, as they will appear once the feature has been added to your Control Center. Credit: Screenshot: apple

Apple created this accessibility feature to help people focus, relax, and stay calm. Background Sounds allows you to play soothing sounds even if your phone is locked. If you intend to use it frequently, it's quite hidden in the iPhone's Settings. We recommend adding it into your Control Center.

3. 3.

Have you ever taken a photo of a number you know you will add to your contacts? Then you forget about it. This problem can be solved by Live Text, as well as any other situation that requires copying and pasting.

You can now point your camera at handwritten or printed text or numbers. Tap on the Live Text button to copy, select, lookup, translate or share the image. The same can be done with photos that you have already taken.

4. FaceTime links

FaceTime received a slew of improvements, but we love the ability to create FaceTime Links, which allow you to schedule calls ahead. The link also opens FaceTime to non Apple users. Any Android or PC user can join FaceTime calls as long as they are using Chrome or Edge. This could be the end to Zoom happy hours.

5. 5. Focus Mode

Focus Mode is available for those who need some help keeping their phone off the desk while they work or study. Prior to silencing notifications, you had to set your iPhone in Do Not Disturb mode. This blocked all communications. Focus Mode allows you to customize which notifications and who gets them while it's active.

You can create different modes for work, home and relaxation. It is easily located in the Control Center.
