After reportedly contracting COVID-19 in mid August, Troy and Charletta both died within hours of each other earlier this week.
Troy became ill and the couple decided to cancel their planned family trip to Florida. Charletta was admitted with COVID-19 just two days after arriving to the Sunshine State. Troy was admitted to Sinai Grace Hospital with COVID a day later. Both were placed on ventilators, and Charletta's condition worsened.
Green stated that her lungs were badly damaged and that they couldn't do more for her. He realized his wife was not getting better after hearing that she is on a ventilator, and that she is on it 100% of the time, and he couldn't bear that. He started experiencing chest pains, and he died a few hours later.

Charletta was taken to a Florida hospital and died on Labor Day. Troy succumbed to a heart attack on Tuesday morning.
Green stated that they knew all along that they would be coming home. We are feeling so overwhelmed right now that neither one of them has returned home.
Green stated that Troy and Charletta had not been vaccinated.
She said that although it does not prevent you from getting it, it will give you a fighting chance. It's like telling everyone in my family to get vaccinated. I won't do it again. COVID is too much for many.
To raise funds to pay for the burial costs of the double funeral, the family launched a GoFundMe campaign. The campaign page contains a message stating that the couple died 8 hours apart from COVID-19. All donations will be sent to them and used to pay for their homegoing expenses.
