New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio will mandate Covid vaccines for certain indoor activities

He required proof of Covid vaccinations for employees and customers at indoor restaurants, gyms, and entertainment centers.The order takes effect August 16, and will be fully enforced starting Sept. 13. De Blasio stated that the mandate, also known as Key to NYC Pass, would encourage greater immunizations to counter the spread of the variant of delta coronavirus."When you hear these words, I want to encourage you to think about the idea that because someone has been vaccinated they can do all of the amazing things available in this city," de Blasio stated about the Key to NYC Pass.De Blasio stated that the city will begin to inspect businesses for compliance by mid-September. All affected workers and customers can submit their vaccination cards to the Excelsior Pass application.
