The companion certificate is available on both the personal and business Delta Platinum cards.Personal and business Delta SkyMiles Reserve Cards offer even greater flexibility. You can book into Comfort+, Main Cabin or First Class (I-Z, Z, W and U), as well as Comfort+ (V fare classes), However, it cannot be used to book Delta One.All Delta Companion Certificates can only be used for travel within the 48 U.S. States, unless you are in Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico. You can use them to book flights from these places to the lower 48 U.S states. To book international flights, you cannot use a Delta Companion Certificate.Your Delta credit card must be held for at least one year. You are entitled to one companion certificate each anniversary. You cannot use a companion certificate for a booking that you have already made, unlike the Southwest Companion Pass. Both tickets must be booked at the same time.
