Sometimes, it can feel really strange to open Maps and see a list with the most recent locations. It's not your intention to let that information slip into the wrong hands.Even more frightening is the number of apps that track your location almost constantly and do whatever with it.Locator services use WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS to locate you. These services can make your iPhone experience even more enjoyable, especially if the Find My App app is used frequently or you use Maps to navigate around. Privacy-wise, it might not be the best idea to make your location easily accessible to all apps.It is a good idea to check in on the apps that you have enabled location services, and then turn them off if you don't need them tracking you every move. Here's how to do it:Location services for iOSSome built-in iPhone functions rely on location access for their functionality. Others, such as Find My iPhone, Emergency Calls and Cell Network Search, are greatly enhanced by location. You can disable all built-in services that tap into your location if you aren't using them.1. Browse the list and pick your favorites.You can view the full list of iOS devices that use location services. The services you use most often will determine which options you make. This is a one-step change. Credit: Screenshot: appleTo change the app's location access, tap on it. You can choose between "Never", "Always," or "While Using" options. These are fairly obvious choices. Credit: Apple screenshotYou'll see a toggle button that allows you to select "Precise location" when you click on the app. If you prefer that the app has access to only an approximate location, this can be turned off.By simply turning off "Location services" at the top of the app menu, you can turn off all location services. This is not something we recommend as there are certain iPhone services that tap into the location services we cannot live without.If you want to live an off-the-grid private life, it is a good idea to be completely location-free. You can hit the toggle and be assured that your iPhone does not track you, even if others could.
