Do you want to personalize your WhatsApp chat? What's more, you can customize your chat background to any color you like. Here's how it works:1. Navigate to WhatsApp's settings by clicking the gear icon at the bottom right.2. Tap Chats3. Tap Chat Wallpaper on the top of the page.4. Tap the Choose Light Mode Wallpaper button at the top or Choose Dark Mode Wallpaper depending on what mode you are using WhatsApp in.5. You can choose which background category you prefer. You can choose from Bright, Dark, Solid Colors or a custom image from your phone gallery. You must ensure that WhatsApp has access to your photos through your WhatsApp settings. You may be prompted by the app to do this.Credit: Image / Whatsapp6. Choose the photo that you like. WhatsApp will show you a preview of the photo and allow you to adjust it to suit your needs.7. Tap Set at the bottom right. You will see the photo on all chat backgrounds.You can also modify the chat background for each contact. You can do this by clicking here1. Choose the chat thread/contact for which you wish to change the background.2. Tap the contact name at the top.3. Tap Wallpaper & Sound, marked with a pink icon.4. You can tap Choose a new wallpaper to see the same options you saw above: Bright, Dark or Solid Colors. Or a custom image. If you wish to select a custom image from your gallery, make sure you have allowed WhatsApp access.5. You can adjust the image to suit your needs on the preview page.6. Tap Set at the bottom right. You can now choose the photo to be your chat background for this contact.
