Alicia Keys has delivered a brand new song titled "Perfect Way to Die," a poignant ballad about the mourning of a mother who lost her son to a tragic shooting.
Measuring at approximately three minutes and a half, the song starts off with a sprinkle of lush piano notes and chords, joined later by a calm vocal entrance by Keys. Entering into the chorus, Keys amps up her vocals, delivering a soulful performance to tell the story behind the song. The track was written and produced by Sebastian Kole, who opted to keep most of the instrumental arrangements minimal - only a brief moment of quiet strings in the background can be heard alongside Keys' piano playing. The song finishes the way it began, ending on a series of light piano chords with gentle singing.
