The they released tight end Tennessee Titans Delanie Walker and kicker Ryan Succop on Friday, one day after they did the same with running back Dion Lewis and linebacker Cameron Wake.

In my time here with Delanie, he has been an absolute pro on the field, in the locker room, and his production speaks for itself. He was a leader, a captain, and a highly respected member of this team. His toughness, competitiveness, attitude and professionalism are what we expect from our players. I want to wish him all of the best moving forward and he will forever be a Titan great."The team said Walker's release involved a failed physical.
General manager Jon Robinson singled out Walker's impact in a statement about the moves:
Both Walker (ankle) and Succop (knee) dealt with injury concerns during the 2019 campaign. Walker played in seven games after appearing in just one in 2018, while Succop appeared in six games last year and was a mere 1-of-6 on field-goal attempts.
While the end of Walker's tenure with the Titans was largely defined by health problems, he made three straight Pro Bowls from 2015 through 2017 and caught 28 touchdowns in 84 games with the team.
He surpassed 1,000 receiving yards in 2015 and finished with a career-best seven touchdown receptions in 2016.
Walker played the first seven years of his career for the San Francisco 49ers but was relatively unproductive compared to the game-changing presence he developed into with the Titans. He will be 36 years old during the 2020 campaign but figures to attract attention from other teams given his recent track record when he was healthy in Tennessee.
As for Succop, he was a reliable kicker during his other five years in a Titans uniform.
He never finished with a field-goal percentage worse than 83.3 percent and made as many as 91.7 percent of his attempts in 2016. The Titans' announcement regarding the release pointed out he set a league record by making 56 straight field goals from inside 50 yards from 2014 through 2017.
