New features for its cloud gaming service were announced. New server with better hardware components are being added to the premium plan. The $19.99 plan should provide better performance for more demanding games.
The company's high-end server is using graphics processing units from the 4080 class. Before today, users who paid for the most expensive subscription plan were able to access the same server with the same graphics card.
It's possible to play your own games from the cloud. The game is running in a data center close to you, and the video feed is sent to your device. Windows, macOS, Android, and some web browsers are supported by the program.
Even if they stop using the service, customers still have to buy games on Steam and other digital stores, even if they don't subscribe to the service. The biggest problem with the service is that some game publishers don't allow their games to be supported on the service. There are over 1,500 games that have been supported by the company. For example, you can't play Elden Ring.
For a fee, customers can try out the game. You can only play for 60 minutes at a time in the queue system. If you want to use the service on a daily basis, you can get a priority membership, which will allow you to play for up to six hours at a time. 60 frames per second is what you are allowed to use.
A premium tier called GeForce Now RTX 3080 was added last year. A new name will be given to this tier because of today's update. The company has changed it's name to GeForce NowUltimate.
4K resolution is supported by GeForce Now Ultimate. You can join the Ultimate membership if you have a gaming monitor. It is possible for users to enable the proprietary features of the company.
Depending on the number of frames per second you get in your game, the streaming rate will be adjusted. That is cool! If you have a gaming PC, then you probably don't need a graphics card.
In January, existing members will be upgraded to the ultimate plan. The monthly price is still $19.99.
