Sony’s $529 InZone M3 gaming monitor is now available

The lower-spec companion to the InZone M9 is here. The InZone M3 is available for $529 and has a PS5-esque white design. Sony has made hardware that appeals to more than just fans of the PS3. It is trying to build credentials and popularity in the PC gaming space, which it brands likeLG,samsung,MSI and many others are the top choices.

The biggest change is the drop in the panel's resolution to1080p. This monitor doesn't support 1440p and the PS5 does. The M3's screen lacks full-array local dimming, which makes it difficult to see games in high definition. The M3 is not edge-lit. For PCs, it has DisplayHDR 400.

Even if this monitor is in QHD, the M3 still has perks over other models. It has a variable refresh rate for PC and PS5 with G-sync compatibility. It's possible to connect multiple devices to it via a variety of methods. You can use the same mouse and keyboard on two computers with the same switch. If you don't want to use the supplied stand, the M3 supports VESA wall mounts.

Sony didn't pack in any video cables in my review of the M9 The M3 is better than nothing and it was included with the DisplayPort cable.

This monitor doesn't support 1440p and the PS5 does.

You can get to the game faster if you change the settings on your PS5 because it will detect your PS5 and give you an alert. Without any input, it can switch between game and cinema modes.

One feature I really liked using with the M9 was Sony's InZone desktop companion software, which allows you to make adjustments to the settings from an app instead ofggling through its on-screen display.

Outside of displays with much faster refresh rates, Sony's InZone M3 is one of just a few1080p gaming monitors that we're covering for the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show.
