Like most years, the World Cup has lived up to the hype and is almost over. The first World Cup in the Middle East was hosted by Qatar and the airline jumped at the chance to be an official airline. Business class menu items that are themed for the World Cup have been seen. Over the last couple of months, I have flown 4 segments on the airline and their World Cup menu is terrible. I don't want to wait for the world cup to end so I can get the better food.
In December, I flew from Seattle to DOHA. The main meals are not World Cup themed. The snacks are all about the World Cup.
I tried to eat on the flight from Seattle. I was surprised that they were chicken nuggets. The nuggets were wet. They should have advertised them as nuggets. I could have chosen another option. A child wouldn't want these.
My partner decided to eat the burger. The burgers from the stadiums were probably worse than this one. This is a victory.
We went for the Half Time Platter on the previous flight. It's a meal in itself. We ordered one and shared it on the flight. The meals are available on flights out of Doha.
The chips were not like the ones you get at a party. There are just chips with sour cream. The guacamole was good, but everything else was bad. The sticks are made of rubber. It's a mistake to avoid it. It was a miss. Business class has tortilla chips. It's from a world class airline. I would expect a snack like this on United. That's not the case withQatar Airways. I could only imagine how gross the fish and chips would be if I ate them. It's really bad!
They had a burger on my flight. It tasted terrible. The sausage mixture didn't taste like beef.
We had dessert on this flight. It was so sweet that it was over powered. Sharing is good for one person. Thanks to calories, win flying is not counted.
This was described as chocolate football. There is 70% dark chocolate, 70% raspberries, and 70% chocolate crumbles. It was mostly good, but it was also very sweet.
The holiday menu should be here soon, since the World Cup is almost over. The World Cup and the theme of soccer are fun to watch. The food wasn't very good. They could have done better things. There are fish and chips on the plane. It will never happen. Do you mean chicken nuggets? We are all young. If you are flying this World Cup season, you may want to avoid some of these food options.
