The Washington Commanders will wear decals on their helmets to honor the three University of Virginia football players who died in a shooting on Sunday.

The three players were killed in a shooting after a school field trip, according to several people.

Christopher Jones Jr. was charged with three counts of second-degree murder, three counts of using a handgun in the commission of a felony, and two counts of malicious wounding. Two people were wounded in the shooting.

Thousands of students held a protest after the shooting.

The game between Virginia andCoastal Carolina was canceled. There hasn't been a decision regarding the game between Virginia and Virginia Tech.

Davis was a wide receiver, while the other two were linebackers. The running back was wounded in the shooting.

Less than 150 miles from the University of Virginia campus is the Commanders' FedEx field.
