The UN's youngest climate advisor says that young people are more powerful in the UN climate summit.

Sophia Kianni said that young people are shaping outcomes.

The meeting in Sharm el-Sheikh was called a forum for "greenwashing".

Young people from countries at high risk from climate change are calling it out.

Nakate will tell governments to wash their hands in a speech on Tuesday.

She will tell ministers that they need to end the "moral and economic madness" of funding fossil fuels.

The large presence of oil and gas delegates compromises the COP according to activists.

They say their work has an effect here.

A woman from Pakistan spoke at the Youth Pavilion. This is the first time that young people have had a dedicated space like this.

Ayisha tells me she's proud of the space and that it's one of the most buzzing areas of COP 27.

We organize this for the youth. She says that there isn't a corporate branding everywhere.

The reality of climate change is important to her. The floods in Pakistan killed 1,700 people. She says that the world has come to an end and that she cannot give up hope for change.

The summit will not deliver the climate finance that the country needs, according to the young woman.

She traveled to represent her community, which was severely affected by the dry spell. They live in areas with no internet and their voices are not heard here. She hopes she can bring their message here.

She wants a better future for her one-year-old daughter and she wants to have hope where there is none.

Activists from developing nations say they faced a lot of obstacles in coming to the summit.

The son of a man who died in a storm in Bangladesh is very concerned about sea level rise. Since his father died, his mother has been working in a garment factory.

They got grants for travel but can't afford to eat at the conference.

The cost of lodging for delegates was $4,000 a week.

Climate summits should include special funds and accommodations for young people from civil society, according to activists.

While waving their passes, Imran and Sohanur are proud that they have been given spots on the negotiating team.

It allows them to eavesdrop on conversations between countries about the final agreement.

The negotiations on how to curb climate change will continue for the rest of the week, with reports suggesting a large gap between rich and poor nations.

The youth activists are hopeful that they will be able to get more money for the communities devastated by climate change. They will probably have to return next year.

Climate change is seen as crucial if it is to be brought under control. More than 200 countries are attending the summit to discuss further measures to cut emissions and prepare for climate change, which could lead to major changes to our daily lives.
