Alec Baldwin has taken the offense in the shooting death of Halyna Hutchins and has filed a suit against some of the crew members. The crew members are accused of failing to safeguard the film set. The lawsuit states that live bullets were delivered to the set and loaded into the gun. It goes on to say that Halls failed to check the gun carefully and that the gun was safe before handing it to Baldwin. Alec wants to clear his name and hold the crew members responsible for their actions. He pointed a finger at the film's gun supplier for storing all the bullets in a careless manner. The prop specialist and armorer failed to watch the live rounds on the New Mexico set of "Rust." We reported that as well. Mary Carmack-Altwies is the district attorney in Santa Fe. The Santa Fe Sheriff's Office turned over its investigative file to Carmack-Altwies. Hutchins was accidentally shot in the chest by Alec as they practiced for a scene. Alec had previously stated that he thought the gun was unloaded.
