  • Google releases the November 2022 update for Pixel smartphones, including the Pixel 7 series.
  • The update consists primarily of bug fixes for the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.
  • The Pixel 6 series also receives a fix addressing increased battery consumption.
  • The update is rolling out to select Pixel phones over the next week.

It's the time of the month when the Pixel phones get their security updates. There are only a few bug fixes in the November 2022 patch.

The "green display flicker" that some users have noticed is addressed in the update. It should help the users of the Pixel 7 Pro that their displays are running down their batteries.

The Photos app crashed when using certain editing features because of an issue that was fixed in the update. We haven't experienced that with our devices, but some users should be happy.

Bug fixes aren't just about the series. It does not specify which apps caused the problems, but the fix addresses increased power consumption with certain apps installed on the phone.
