I had the chance to visit the oneworld lounge at the same time as I checked out the Qantas First Lounge. Business class lounge has space, design, and food and drink selection. It feels like a dungeon.
Tom Bradley International Terminal is the main international terminal at the airport. TBIT can be accessed from Terminals 4, 5,6, 7, and 8. The lounge is a short walk from Terminal 4 where most American Airlines flights leave from.
The lounge is on the fifth floor whereas the terminal is on the fourth floor.
The oneworld lounge is located next to the Star Alliance lounge.
The lounge is open until the last one world departure of the day.
All eligible oneworld passengers, including those on Japan Airlines, are able to use the lounge. Oneworld lounge access policies are in line with this.
The lounge is 42,000 square feet and has seating for 600 people. For most of the day this is a pretty empty lounge.
The lounge feels like it is broken up into a few different zones because the center of the lounge has small windows that look at the inside of the terminal.
There is a bar and a fire pit inside the lounge.
The largest seating area is next to the buffet. Regardless of your preferred lounge furniture, this lounge has a variety of seating arrangements.
There are some dining tables near the buffet.
The table is large.
I will let the pictures speak for themselves, but I love the chairs with ottomans.
A small business center is located in the lounge.
The lounge has nice décor. It's a really, really, really dark place. It's not a big deal if you're flying late in the evening, but during the day it can be difficult for people who are solar powered.
There is a buffet at the oneworld lounge. Breakfast was being served during my visit.
There were a variety of cold breakfast options.
The hot dishes included a pancake machine, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, baked beans, mushrooms, and frittata.
There were several drink stations with various beverages.
The bar has alcohol on hand.
You can find the selections below.
Beer is served by a bartender.
The bar has a real espresso machine that you can use to make an espresso-based drink, which is much better than what you will find from the machine.
The bathroom setup at the oneworld lounge feels a bit dated. The bathroom is near the back of the lounge.
Each of the shower suites has a walk in shower, a toilet, and a sink.
The oneworld lounge is a great place to hang out. There is a good selection of food and drinks at this place. The lounge's lack of natural light is one of its main criticisms.
If you have access to that, you will definitely want to go there. The Star Alliance Lounge next door is a bit better than the Korean Air Lounge, which is one of the worst lounges in the world.
What was it like to visit the oneworld lounge in Los Angeles?
