Orlovsky: Packers need to call the Jets about Elijah Moore (0:39)

The Packers would be a good fit for Moore if he wanted a trade. :39

The New York Jets wide receiver returned to the team's facility Friday but will not play against the Broncos on Sunday.

"I don't think it's fair to ask him to play a football game with where he is from, in my opinion," Robert said. That is solely my decision.

The Jets will not grant Moore's trade request, but they hope to work out their differences once the second-year receiver returns. He won't be going to Denver for the trip. He will work out with the conditioning staff as if he were hurt.

It's part of what we deal with. We've had a discussion with him. It is not possible to trade him. We will work with him.

The trade deadline for the National Football League is the 1st of November.

According to reports, Moore was told to leave the facility before practice because of a disagreement with the coaches.

It was a heated exchange, according to a source.

It gets to a boiling point like everything else. He wasn't happy. It was one of those deals where it was best for him to just relax, calm down, take a day, catch your breath, and we'll come back later.

The Jets, winners of three straight, have their best start in three years. Moore is upset about his usage. He is sixth on the team in catches and fifth in targets.

After the Jets beat the Packers, Moore went public with his feelings. He was not a bigger part of the offense.

The public rebuke was issued by Saleh, who said that mistakes happen. He downplayed the consequences of the trade request and the perception that Moore is a selfish player.

The trait was attributed to Moore's competitiveness.

He wants more. That doesn't mean he's selfish. I think it makes him a competitor.

Mims will be activated for the first time on Sunday in Moore's place. Mims was a healthy scratch for the first six games of the season. Mims and Jeff Smith are likely to play in the game.
