Inquisitors have been a threat to Jedi and Force users in the franchise. The Inquisitors were created by the Empire to kill or capture the Jedi that survived Order 66. The Inquisitors are growing in popularity with a new novel.
The novel Inquisitor: Rise of the Red Blade will focus on Iskat. Iskat is an Order 66 survivor who was forcibly conscripted into the Jedi hunting program, like Reva from Obi-Wan. The goal of learning about her past and figuring out where she came from is what Iskat sees as the purpose of the Sith. The novel is being written by a Star Wars veteran, with previous credits including the Black Spire tie-in novel.
Rise of the Red Blade is the first novel of its kind by the Inquisitors. They have guest starred in various Darth Vader comic books, as well as being antagonists in various novels, shows and video games. There is still a lot of information about the Inquisitors that is hidden, such as their strange hierarchy, as well as their connection to their past lives. Hopefully there will be more light shed on the organization since our POV character will be one of them.
Rise of the Red Blade will be released on July 18, 2023.
