A lot of people work from home these days, so it's important that they communicate with each other on work apps. When you can't see each other in person, or when you're in a meeting and can't see each other in person, slack status updates can be useful.

It's easy to forget that you can manually update your status with a few clicks. If you want your status to be automatically updated, you can sync your status to your calendar. You can sync it to other calendars like Microsoft Outlook as well, but we will show you how to connect it to the calendar.

How to sync your Slack status to Google calendar from your desktop or laptop

Install the Google Calendar app to your Slack if it’s not already installed and click on Open in Slack.

If it isn't already installed, click on this link to install it. You can open the chat. You can choose More at the top of your sidebar. Click the apps that appear from the drop-down. Click on it if you want to look at the calendar. On the new screen, click on the connect an account button. Click Allow on the next screen if you want to connect the calendar to one of the Gmail accounts. If you want to turn on automatic status notifications, you should be sent a welcome message. Click on it to turn around.

How to sync your Slack status to Google calendar from your mobile device

You can head to Jump To from the Home tab if you have both the calendar app and the chat app installed. Click on the calendar app if you want to search for it. Make sure you are on the Home tab and when prompted, hit Allow. If you want to turn on automatic status notifications, you will get a message from slack. Click on it to turn around.
