It was time to go back to the US on LATAM after a disappointing experience with Copa Airlines. LATAM has a new Boeing 767 business class. The experience exceeded my expectations and I wanted to share it with you.
LATAM is working on installing a new business class product throughout its long haul fleet, and almost all Boeing 767s have these seats Business class hard product is hard to find on the 767. Business class has a noticeable difference in the plane's cabin.
This is the most elegant cabin finish I have ever seen, and it was installed by LATAM. The design was great, from the colors to the patterns behind the seats. The cabin was in great shape.
The seats are narrow but not as narrow as United's 767 Polaris.
Context is important in the competitive landscape. The standard first class seats you would find on domestic flights are available on American's flights to Arequipa.
On a redeye leaving at 1AM and arriving at 7AM, I didn't care about the lack of wi-fi on the LATAM 767s. There was a lot of movies and TV shows to choose from.
The soft product was more comprehensive than I anticipated. Business class passengers were given a colorful kit that was wellstocked.
There was a soft pillow, blanket, and mattress pad.
Dinner was served on a single tray with a cheese plate, bread, and dessert.
A sandwich was served before the plane touched down.
In terms of the hard and soft product, my last flight on LATAM was terrible. This flight was very good and the airline has come a long way.
The trip took a turn for the better with this flight.
What was it like to fly in LATAM's business class?
