The Home app for Apple's HomeKit smart home platform was released this week with the launch of the new operating system. Thanks to the new lock screenwidget feature, you can put a shortcut to the Home app on your lock screen.
You can see the status of your home, including how many lights are on, the temperature or humidity inside, and whether your alarm system is armed or not, with these HomeWidgets.
If you add Home to your lock screen, you will see them in the lower shelf below the clock. You can't lock your door or turn off your lights from the double and single sizes. You can either go to the Home app or the accessory displayed if you tap on a HomeWidget.
Press the screen long. It's possible to personalize the tap. There is an addwidgets box below the clock. You can scroll down and tap the icon. You can scroll down to see the available features. You can add thewidget by tapping it. The screen below the clock will show it. If you want, you can press and drag it to the desired position. If you want to take it away, hit the minus arrow. In the top right corner, tap done.
There are six Home appwidget options, four of which are double and two of which are single. It is possible to add up to four single, two double, or a double Widget. If you want to display different devices, you can add the singlewidget more than once.
You can choose to show two different things, one for Climate and one for security. Each can be tailored to show a particular sensor.
How to change the climate sensor.
You can add a climate sensor to your shelf. It's possible to tap the button. Temperature, Air Quality, Humidity, Smoke Sensor, and Carbon Monoxide Sensor are some of the options that a dialogue box can choose from. Pick which one you would like to display.
How to change the security accessory.
You can add the security accessory to your shelf. It's possible to tap the button. The door locks and alarm systems will display a dialogue box. You can choose which one to display.
You have the option to display up to two doublewidgets. They are included.
A summary of your smart home includes the temperature recorded by a thermostat, how many lights are on, and the status of one door or security system.
Climate shows a temperature range, indoor air quality, and humidity.
A summary of your home security accessories, including doors, alarm system, and any sensors that aren't responding, is called security.
You can see how many lights are on and not responding by looking at the lights.
The Control Center Home tiles give you control over the device with a tap, but the lock screen widgets don't do that as well. They are more accessible. I would just like to be able to add more of them, they feel like a good step towards quicker control of your Home devices.
