Is there a writer who loves Halloween as much as Mike Mignola? The beloved creative is teaming up with artist Rachele Aragno to give them terrifying tales not just for Halloween but for Christmas too.
io9 has a first look at Dark Horse's comic book "Leonde the Vampyr: Miracle at the Crow's Head", written by Mignola and featuring art from Aragno and Dave Stewart. The one-shot follows a new character created by Mignola and Aragno.
Daily sketches were being published on social media. Aragno said that Mike Mignola liked the first portrait of a vampire girl. The idea of a vampire portrait being the basis of a story started from there. I was happy when Mike sent me the outline. I was happy to be able to draw and write those words on the paper. Mignola is one of my favorite authors and I was honored to work with him.
The story of Miracle at the Crow's Head is set in a small coastal village that finds the lives of its quiet denizens upended when a wreck brings a mysterious, small coffin to its shores. The vampire will be back in A Christmas forCrows, a holiday one-shot that will be released in December. Maybe people shouldn't open any small caskets. The variant cover was written by Mignola and Dave Stewart.
"Leonide's first story gave me the opportunity to start creating a very aesthetically strong main character along with many supporting actors or antagonists that I wanted to bring to light." A mummy priest wants to exorcise a little girl who stole souls and she looks innocent. The stories that may be told about them could be very frightening.

The second story Mike wrote was so captivating that I couldn't stop reading it. She said she loved it from the beginning because it allowed her to expand the universe of Leonide with both new characters and new settings. At Christmas, the air you breathe is special. It is a dream for all fans of the genre. This story allows us to understand how large the world of Leonide can be.
A Christmas for crows came to my mind after I came up with the first story. I didn't try to come up with a story. Mignola said that sometimes that happened. It made sense for this part to be about Christmas since the first part was about Halloween. I always associate ghost stories with Christmas, and so I tried to do something very old-school. It is not often that I allow that stuff in.
We have an exclusive preview of Miracle at the Crow's Head, which will be released on October 5. A Christmas for crows is due for release in the month of December.
