Many people talk about the many live action comedies like iCarly or Big Time Rush when they talk about Nickelodeon. Danny Phantom is one show that gets a lot of attention but not all of the time.
The show is getting a chance at a second life thanks to an upcoming graphic novel. Danny, his friends Tucker and Sam, and Dark Danny, an evil version of Danny from season two's "Ultimate Enemy" episode, are going on a road trip through time and space to imprison Dark Danny. There is a plot point that the show never got around to, but as Glitch in Time takes place after the show's series finale, there is plenty of room to play in.
Danny Phantom has a story about when he was just 14 years old, he got ghost powers from being blasted by a ghost portal in his parents' lab. Danny and his friends fought a new ghost each week and occasionally Danny got a new power. Danny starred in his own video game during the show's heyday, as well as guest starring in games that featured Nickname characters.
Hartman has been accused of plagiarizing art for commission, as well as misleading those who donated to his then streaming service, Oaxis, in the past. Hartman didn't mention that aspect of O axis in the description of the service, which was slighted by backers. He serves as a producer on the film.
Is a Danny Phantom coming back? It wouldn't be out of the question, given that iCarly had its revival series renewed for a third season, and that Nickelodeon is on track to start up a bunch of new shows.
The film Danny Phantom: A Glitch in Time will be released in July of 2023.
