You can change your account name in Windows 10 in a few simple steps.

You can see that your account has a name when you sign into it. It's usually tied to your Microsoft account when you set up the computer.

You can change your user account's name if you have administrator access. It will not change the name of your user folder, but it will change your account name.

There is an easy way to change the account name in Windows 10.

How to change your account name on Windows 10

This is the first thing. The "Run" application can be found in the Start Menu.

There are two Hit enter if you want to type "control userpasswords2".

There are three. This should open the user accounts menu. Click the name you want to change and then selectProperties.

There are four. The account name in the first text field should be changed to the one you want.

There are five. To close out the two boxes, select "Apply" and "OK".

There are six. As soon as you sign out, you should get a new name.

The Full Name textbox can be changed. Make sure you save everything before you sign out and return in. Ross James is a business reporter.

If you want to change the name of your user folder, make sure you do it in a way that doesn't cause your files to be corrupted. Go ahead and create a new profile.
