After working on the "Colgate Comedy Hour" with legends back in the day, Norman went on to work on classics like "Sanford and Son" and "All in the Family."

As he pushed the boundaries of TV, incorporating controversial topics like abortion, mental health, and sexuality into his shows, he picked up 6 Emmys.

It was back in 1984 that he was in the hall of fame.
